History of the Church Outreach

2008

• June - ninth year of Bible Week with speakers Angus MacLeay
  and Steven Lawson.
• July - Garlinge Staff Member Project - we welcomed Jean-Pierre
  ("J.P.") Schroeder who joined the staff-team at St. James' from the
  beginning of July, thereby doubling the full-time team.
• JP took on the role of Garlinge Evangelist and is also involved in
  ministry in the life of the parish as a whole.

2009

• February - work starts on the re-shingling of the church spire,
  competed in May.
• June - tenth anniversary of "Thanet Bible Week" with excellent through provoking talks from Rev. Andy Gemmill and Rev. Alex Ross.

2012

• J.P. Schroeder and family move to Pert, Western Australia, to be part of the chaplaincy team of St. Mark's Community School
• Rev. Robert Bashford retires - Barbara and Robert move to Barton Seagrave, Kettering.
